Our co-founder of Swiss Chocolate Chalet is still sharing the joy of authentic Swiss chocolate around the world

Twenty years ago, Mr. Elmar Teuscher and his son Mr. Martin Teuscher, united by their passion for high-quality Swiss chocolate and their love for Interlaken, founded the Choco Chalet AG family business. At the time, they could never have imagined that, two decades later, their chocolate would be more popular than ever.


Fast forward to March 2025, and their love for chocolate remains as strong as ever. Mr. Elmar Teuscher, still deeply connected to the world of cocoa, took a special journey to Kigali, Rwanda, to personally deliver our authentic hand-finished Swiss chocolate.


With a deep appreciation for both coffee and cocoa beans, Mr. Teuscher felt perfectly at home in Rwanda, so much so that he celebrated his 90th birthday there, proving that, as we always say at Swiss Chocolate Chalet, "a dark chocolate a day keeps the doctor away!'"
