Best Chocolate and Breathtaking Views in Switzerland: A Food & Travel Guide
Now that the high season is over and we have entered the quieter month of January, we can once again admire the fantastic mountain views from our two Swiss Chocolate Chalet boutiques.
During peak season, tourists and chocolate lovers flock to our shops to photograph and admire the famous Jungfrau and the Eiger North Face, all while sipping our dark Maracaibo hot chocolate or savouring our classic champagne truffles. Today, however, it was my turn to simply enjoy the view of the most visited destination in the Bernese Highlands: the Jungfrau massif. On this beautiful crisp January day, I sat in front of our Swiss chocolate shop, surrounded by blue skies and bright sunshine, and watched the snow-covered peaks slowly turn pink as the sun set.
Soon enough, my employees and I will once again leave the appreciation of these magnificent mountains views directly in front of our boutiques to our local Swiss and international guests as we prepare our Valentine’s Day and Easter chocolate specialities. But for a few precious weeks, we can pause and marvel at the extraordinary place we are lucky enough to call home - Interlaken and Grindelwald.
If you’ve enjoyed the mountain views from our chocolate shops, we’d love to see them through your lens. Feel free to share your favourite moments with us and don’t forget to tag us!
